Sept. 26: Plant the seeds of roller skating!

It’s officially fall, and there’s no better time to plant the seeds of the awesome roller skater you want to be. Come join us this Saturday from 5 to 7 PM at Thunderbird Community Centre (2311 Cassiar St., near Rupert Skytrain) to get your skate on!

Whether you just want to learn to roller skate, or you are set on being the best roller derby player in the world, you’ve come to the right place. This week, our special guest coach Mean Sprout will help you grow your agility, fertilize your footwork, seed your strength, and reap the rewards of your hard work.

Interested in skating, but don’t yet have your gear? That’s no excuse! Rollergirl.ca now rents all the gear you need to see if roller skating is for you (we suspect the answer is yes). Visit the Rollergirl shop at 185 East 11th Avenue (at Main), and then head on over to Raw Meat!

To skate at Raw Meat, you’ll need: roller skates, helmet, wrist guards, elbow pads, knee pads and a mouth guard. Skates must have white or light, non-marking toe stops, and black knee pads need to be covered with vertical strips of white tape or felt. Sessions are $7, and are always drop-in. Just come on down and join in!

At Raw Meat Vancouver Roller Skating, we just have two rules: 1. Be safe. 2. Don’t be an asshat.

See you Saturday!
