No Session Oct. 11! Join us on Oct. 18!

No Raw Meat Roller Skating on Oct. 11, see you Oct. 18!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Raw Meat Roller Skatingwill be taking a break for the Thanksgiving weekend. There will be no session on Oct. 11. Instead, use the quality family/friend time to badger your nearest and dearest into buying skates and coming with you to Raw Meat on Oct. 18, to work off all that gravy.

On Oct 18, come prepared to sweat! We’ll work hard to make up for the time off. Expect all sorts of roller skating and roller derby drills, including stops, falls, weaving, jumps, agility, pace lines, and more. You never know what we’ll throw at you! (Ok, fine, usually we’re throwing dodge balls.)

As always, we’ll meet from 5-7 PM at Thunderbird Community Centre, 2311 Cassiar St. in Vancouver.

What to Bring to Raw Meat Roller Skating

Please bring roller skates (quad skates), a helmet, mouth guard, wrist guards, and elbow and knee pads. To protect the floors, all skaters must have white or light coloured toe-stops, and cover black knee pads with vertical strips of white tape. You can also tape wool socks or felt over the knee pads, but whatever you cover them with should be sturdy enough to stay in place when you do knee slides.

Raw Meat Roller Skating sessions are $7, and exact change is appreciated.

Sessions are drop-in. Just come on by!

Our Rules:

We only have two rules: 1. Be safe. 2. Don’t be an asshat. That pretty much covers it.
