April 18: Royal City, here we come!

Want to learn to roller skate? Come join Raw Meat Vancouver Roller Skating!
Alright, everyone! It’s time to put on your big-girl panties and cowgirl up. Raw Meat is moving to Royal City Curling Club for the summer, and we are going to have some fun!

We’ll be at Royal City Curling Club, 75 East 6th Avenue, New Westminster, every Saturday all summer from 10 AM to noon. Sessions are $12. Our sessions are always drop-in, so just grab your gear and join us! All levels of skater are welcome.

The floor at RCCC is a dream to skate on, and we’ll have a full track and a lot of space to play in. Whether you are a complete beginner on roller skates, or an expert just looking for more time on wheels, you’ll have a blast at Raw Meat Roller Skating.

If you are thinking of trying out for the Terminal City Roller Girls or the Mainland Misfits in the fall, now is the perfect time to start skating. At Raw Meat, you’ll learn the WFTDA basic skills, and we’ll introduce you to some basic roller derby rules and strategies. You’ll have all summer to perfect your basic skills before tryouts. Our sessions are always non-contact, so you can learn without fear.

Not interested in roller derby? That’s ok too. The roller skating skills we teach will help you safely navigate the seawall, and give you plenty of fun tricks that will impress your friends.

You know you want to learn to roller skate. What are you waiting for?

What to bring:

Skaters must have: roller skates, helmet, mouth guard (essential at RCCC!), wrist guard, and knee and elbow pads. If you skated with us at Thunderbird Community Centre and you have tape on your pads, please take it off before you come to RCCC. You’ll have a lot more fun.

Please note: the floor at RCCC is extremely hard. You must have all of your gear to skate.

Our rules:

We just have two rules: 1. Be safe. 2. Don’t be an ass-hat.
