Sadly, there is no Raw Meat Roller Skating on August 30 or September 6. Our fall/winter session starts up on September 13, from 5 to 7 PM at Thunderbird Community Centre, 2311 Cassiar St., Vancouver. It’s just a couple of blocks from Rupert Skytrain Station. The best part? Sessions at Thunderbird are just $7.
Thunderbird requires all skaters to have white or light coloured toestoppers, and use strips of tape (vertical!) on black knee pads to avoid making black marks on the floor.
Please come out and join us! Skaters of all levels are welcome. If you are new to roller skating, this is a great time to start learning. By next spring, you will be a strong skater, able to rip up the Seawall in style. If you are a derby skater, you can’t have too much practice with the basics! Plus, we won’t hit you! All sessions are non-contact. If you just want to come and skate for fun, this is the place. What are you waiting for?
I hope to see you on the 13th!
