Ever hear that expression, “Pain is just weakness leaving your body?” Let’s see if it’s true, shall we?

This week, we are taking right back to basics. We’ll spend some time perfecting some stops and falls (including a superman drill that leaves your abs hurting in a very special way), and then we’ll move onto crossover form. Don’t worry if you are a beginner—everyone will be able to do these drills. And everyone, and I do mean everyone, will be feeling it all week long. These drills with break down your legs, and build them back up, better and faster.

About Raw Meat Vancouver Roller Skating

Join us for a two-hour roller skating lesson. All levels of adult roller skaters are welcome, from beginner to advanced. There is no skills requirement for this session. We will focus on basic roller skating skills (stops, falls, agility, proximity) and basic roller derby strategy, with some fun and games thrown in (double knee slide curling, anyone?).

Our sessions are all drop-in. Roller skates and full safety gear is required (helmet, mouth guard, wrist, elbow and knee pads). Each session is $12.

Reminder! Our last session at Royal City Curling Club is August 4. On August 11, we return to Thunderbird Community Centre, 2311 Cassiar St., Vancouver, from 5 PM to 7 PM.

Our rules are simple: 1. Be Safe. 2. Don’t be a asshat. There is zero tolerance for breaking these rules.
