So long, so long, so long, so long, so long! So long, so long, so long, so long, so long! So long, so long, and thanks for all the fish!

Well, it’s been an amazing summer skating on the beautiful surface at Royal City Curling Club, but, sadly, it’s time to say goodbye.

August 31 is our last skating session at Royal City Curling Club for 2013, but fear not! Raw Meat continues as usual all fall and winter on Saturdays from 5 to 7 at Thunderbird Community Centre, 2311 Cassiar St., Vancouver (8th and Cassiar, near Rupert Skytrain). Once we move back to Thunderbird, our cost drops, so sessions at Thunderbird will be only $7. If we get enough people, we can drop the price even more, so please get your friends on skates!

Please note: when skating at Thunderbird Community Centre, all skaters must have white or light coloured toestops, and must use white knee pads, or cover dark knee pads with vertical stripes of white tape. This is at the request of the venue, to protect the floor from marks.

Because of the Terminal City Rollergirls Season Finale on September 7, there is no Raw Meat that day. Join us instead for a little field trip to Kerrisdale Arena to see which team will take home the Mercury Shield.

We’ll be at Thunderbird Community Centre at 5 PM starting on September 14, and we’ll continue every Saturday, right through the fall and winter. All sessions at Thunderbird are for all skating levels. No matter where your skating level falls, just grab your gear, and come on out!
