What: 2 hours of advanced roller skating skills, spills and one or two frills
Who: Skaters must have passed the Raw Meat skills test or be a current derby league skater to attend this session.

Why: Because you want to learn the ways of the (roller skating) force!
It is a period of civil war. Rebel roller skaters, training at a hidden base (in New Westminster), have won their first victory against the evil Meatinatrix Empire. During the battle, Rebel skaters managed to steal secret plans to the Empire’s ultimate weapon, the DEATH SQUAT, a terrible training exercise with enough power to destroy an entire gluteous maximus. Pursued by the Empire’s sinister agents, rebel skaters race around the track, custodians of the stolen plans that can train their people and restore awesomeness to the galaxy….
May the Fourth be with you! I know everyone is going the Terminal City Roller Girls bout in the evening on May 4 (more info here), so why not make it a whole day of derby goodness, and join Raw Meat for two hours of advanced roller skating fun. And by fun, I mean you’ll be walking funny on Sunday.
This Saturday, do skate or do not. There is no try.
About Raw Meat Roller Skating Meaty Sessions
These are our advanced sessions. They will focus on advanced roller skating skills, endurance, and an introduction to roller derby rules and strategy. These sessions feature advanced skills, but continue to be non-contact.
A skills test is required to attend Meaty sessions. If you are a current league skater who has passed WFTDA basic skills (the old test), or an on-skates WFTDA referee, you are welcome to attend any time. Just drop in! If you would like to take the test, come to our 12:30 session and speak to a coach, or email info (at) rawmeatvancouver (dot) com.
These sessions are $12. If you attend a Meaty session and stay to skate at a Lamb session (12:30-2:30), it is $18 for both.
