Nov. 14: Learn to roller skate at Raw Meat!

Learn to roller skate with Raw Meat Vancouver Roller Skating
Yeah, fine. There’s no witty intro this week. But you should come skate with us anyway. If you’ve always dreamed of learning to roller skate, now’s the time! Start skating now, and you’ll be sailing around the seawall come spring, and rocking the roller derby track come next fall. Already a skilled skater? Come play the gummy worm game with us. You know you want to!

Join us at Thunderbird Community Centre, 2311 Cassiar St., from 5 to 7 PM on Saturday. We’re there every week!

All skaters are required to have roller skates, helmet, wrist, knee and elbow pads, and a mouth guard. Thunderbird Community Centre also requires that toe stops be white or light, and all black knee pads be covered with (vertical) strips of white tape or felt knee-pad covers.

Sessions are $7.

If you’d like to try skating, but aren’t sure you are ready to commit to buying all the gear, you can now rent roller skates and all the gear from Rollergirl! Rollergirl is at 11th and Main St., and they’ll get you set up with everything you need to try roller skating. You’ll love it, I promise.

Raw Meat sessions are always non-contact, and we just have two rules: 1. Be safe, 2. Don’t be an ass-hat.

See you Saturday!
