Join us on Saturday, October 16, from 5 to 7 PM for two hours of roller skating and roller derby drills! We meet at Thunderbird Community Centre, 2311 Cassiar St., near Rupert Skytrain station in East Van.
We will work on proximity skating, stopping, endurance, agility, and more! Experienced derby girls and refs are always welcome, as are beginners. We try to show the drills with options depending on your skating level, so you can always skate at your own pace.
Raw Meat Skates are non-contact, but full safety gear (helmet, wrist, elbow and knee pads, mouth guard) is required. If you are new to Raw Meat, check out our FAQs for more information about what to expect at our weekly skates.
The skate session is $5 to $7, depending on attendance. Please tell all of your friends—the more the merrier.
After skating, please join us at WaaZuBee on Commercial Drive for some refreshments and socializing.
